Antique Nippon Hand Painted Celery Dish Grape Motif Gold Gilt Handles Oblong

For your consideration is this vintage celery / vegetable dish. This dish is simply marked "Hand Painted" in red. Coninsidently, I purchased a lidded sugar dish (a separate listing) with the exact same hand painted motif. The bottom of that item is marked "Hand Painted (in red) Nippon". A closer view of the celery dish revealed a portion of the maker's mark had been removed (see last photo). I believe these to belong to the same line and were produced sometime between 1891 until 1921. The inside of the dish is adorned with a vibrant and lovely grape cluster motif. The pattern is very similar to Lefton's Festival line. The dish is handled. The handles and the rim are all gold gilt. Most of the gold is in excellent condition. There are a few spots where either the gold paint application missed a few small spots or it has rubbed off over the years. The dish shows little to no signs of use.
