Adam Wydra (1953-2024) was a well-known sculptor and folk artist from Wola Gulowska, Poland. Wydra was associated with a group of sculptors creating the Łuków Center of Folk Sculpture. His bold artistic solutions and great creative ingenuity put him at the forefront of Polish folk sculptors. Wydra received numerous awards and participated in shows in Germany, Czech Republic, Italy, Finland, Switzerland, Austria, Norway, Canada and the USA.
This wood sculpture of Adam and Eve in the garden is signed by Wydra and is multi-dimensional in execution (top, back and sides are all sculpted as part of the whole).
